when i turn on computer i get hold of no picture. i can hear it when it gets to window to start, when using a flashlight i can see a faint picture of it going thru the process of getting to the desktop, next it goes black. hold a toshiba satillite mx35

It sounds resembling the backlight may be gone. No cheap fix.
