Can I use an LCD box effectively as a computer monitor?

I am looking for a generous second monitor for the office, and be wondering if the smaller LCD HDTV televisions out here could do a comparable job to a 22 or 24 inch digital flat panel display?

Answer:

Yes you can! here is a wire which connects the TV to the CPU.

Good for you, cuz you enjoy an LCD.
Yes, lcd tv's work fine as monitors. They are what is recommended over plasmas. The reason is because they hold no burn-in and plasma does. Make sure you determine whether it has vga or dvi input & that your computer video card have the corresponding output, so they will be compatible...but even if they don't, there are adapters available which are inexpensive.
Yes.

Make sure the HDTV have a DVI input.

Make sure its 1366 x 768 . Some sets are 640 x 480.

They are the same entity. As long as it had VGA input you'll be golden.
