bright flash from my laptop monitor?

My laptop is always on it doesn't own a screen investor as such but it goes black after a few minutes more resembling a power saver. I merely need to touch a knob and I see the desktop after a couple of seconds, I touched a push button before and a bright flash instantly come out from the screen! (It wasn't aliens - I hope). It genus of sounded staticy though. Could it just be static, will this impair monitor? I thought it wasn't going to work after that but it did as normal

Sounds similar to static to me.....but i would use a screen depositor

Set the "Wait time"
