Bryan A only just told me that a CRT monitor emit radiation, how adverse is a CRT compared to a TFT?LCD monitor?

Answer:

The amount of radiation is extremely low, and no studies to date own proven that it's harmful.

With that said, the further away you are from the peak, the better. Also, LCD monitors do NOT emit radiation.
its gonna shave 3 secs sour your life
the radiation level are negligable ... the real pluses to TFT/LCD are power consumption since they use something like 1/10 the wattage or less and are not susceptable to EM issues so they dont involve to be degaussed... also, since TFT/LCD doesn;t use scan technology like a CRT, you dont hold "screen flicker" issues when competing with flourescent lights. the power reserves alone make it a cheaper buy over a year so it if truth be told pays for itself many times over during its adjectives life
