Can a regular monitor work beside a laptop?

The backlight on my laptop is broken. I want a rapid and cheap way to fix it. So, I be wondering if I could remove my screen and simply use a regular PC monitor. Is that possible?

Answer:

You can keep the blind on your laptop. Just use another monitor instead. The RGB port in the monitor can connect to the RGB port contained by your computer, with an RGB cable. To switch between monitors, after everything is connected, press FN, consequently F5. There are different monitor combinations you can choose from, but since your laptop monitor doesn't work anymore, you need to press those key until you see your display on the other monitor.
Don't remove the screen. Just be off it in.

Your laptop should hold a monitor plug on the back - Just plug within your regular monitor and you should be set.
Just connect the monitor to the port in the put a bet on
You can create an entire desktop system out of your laptop. Add a keyboard and wireless mouse and you can set the laptop on the floor underneath your desk
Yes you can if the Laptop has a nouns for an external monitor. Most laptops do.

However, if you're still in warranity beside your laptop's manufacturer than you could probably receive this fixed for free or for a low price.
