Buying a New LCD monitor/eyes?

I work more or less 16 hours a day 6 to 7 days a week on the computer. I am going to buy a unmarked 19" LCD monitor (ditching the 17" crt) What should I consider since I am on the computer so much? I am 40+ and don't really want to destroy my eyes or put your foot around with heaps under my eyes adjectives the time due to eyestrain? Well, I look forward to your input. :)

Answer:

GO for a LCD, crt are of the past.
Get a LCD near a fast animate rate as this will put less strain on your eyes, excluding that all I can say aloud is take frequent "eye" breaks by looking away from your monitor for a few minutes every 20 mins or so.

Also try not to sit too close to your monitor
If you buy any of the well-mannered name brands, you should be ok. After you set it up, manufacture sure you get this program, It's call cleartype, and it will set your monitor, to the font that looks best to you. It's put out, by microsoft, and it really does make a difference. I own been using it, for in the region of 2 years, and it's great for your eyes!! Good Luck..click it>>
