When I look down on it the purples turn pink and when I look up it's blue. I'm curious why.
Answer:
LCD screen are meant to be looked at from +/-15 degree direct viewing.
The colors are created by changing the properties of respectively pixel to refract the light at different angles to produce colors. (prizm effect) So viewing at a different angle will convert the color.

Allmost all flat blind monitors do
Because that's how the flat screen monitors are. They are single designed to be viewed at consistent angles so the colors look differnt because the light isn't coming at you impossible to tell apart way.
But there's nought wrong with your monitor.
