can i use my monitor approaching a average tv? similar to to play ps2 using it a monitor?

some adapters o converters perharps? are such tools available?

Answer:

Monitors produce the picture differently (no interlace) and the timing requirement (line scan and frame period) are taken from the computer and not generate within the monitor. However, converters are available to generate adjectives the necessary sync pulses but they are expensive. The cheapest solution is use a TV Card contained by your computer and watch TV that style or connect your ps2 through the card.
I don't have a PS2 so I don't know what sort of adapter is required for PS2 to picture it on a usual TV. But I think, if you buy a TV Card or TV Box, by using like peas in a pod adapter which is needed to get PS2 on usual TV, you will be capable of play on your monitor too.

The TV Card will be internal set on PCI slot which means you will enjoy to turn on the Computer and run it in Windows within order to own the PS2. If you go next to the TV Box, it will directly connect with your monitor but consequently you will not be able to use your computer as you will enjoy to plug in the Monitor VGA cable contained by the TV Box.

I hold a TV card in my computer which works great except for the certainty that it's delayed which drives me nuts. Is there any bearing to hook up, oh, say, a compisite video cable or an s-cable directly into my monitor? Or is within a conversion box that'll do the same?

yes you could. You could use a video connector...or...TV/VIDEO connector.
If you connect your computer to a 42" plasma, you will likely *not* obtain a very suitable picture with an "S" video cable. It also depends on what form of laptop you have. For example, I've get a MacBook and have a DVI nouns for my video. If your plasma is a newer one, you might have a DVI nouns for you video input, which would get you really honest picture resolution.
yes you can if your laptop has an video output and your tv have a video input. All you need is to buy a cable to connect it from your laptop to the TV.

It is a S-video port out not in, if it be in you would enjoy 3 inputs the red/yellow/white..
No, because that port is an OUTPUT port, and what you want is INPUT.

Can I use dual monitors hooked up to my laptop, lacking using my laptop monitor?

I enjoy hooked up an external monitor to my laptop and was competent to use it along with my laptop display, but I would similar to to be able to use 2 external monitors that are alike size and next to respectively other, with my laptop closed, while at work. My laptop have a standard monitor output and an S-video output. Can I get a splitter cable for the monitor output, or use the standard output and the s-video output, to own two separate video displays from my laptop? I am guessing that the splitter would just clone the portrait, but I am wondering if the S-video is a separate signal from the standard output. Anyone have any experience next to this? Thanks!

Answer:

hi there its deeply simple,

all u inevitability is a Y cable which lets you connect two monitors to one computer.
You can buy external hardware that does this. There are 2 different types:

1. A splitter that you plug 2 monitors into and your computer see it as 1 big monitor

or 2. an external video card.

Neither are cheep

Can I use an VGA adaptor next to a graphics card beside 2 dual DVI outputs.?

Answer:

Yes you can. you want a DVI-I(NOT DVI_-D the D stands for Digital and VGA is analogue) to VGA converter. if you got your graphics card just this minute then it might enjoy come with one if they are about 10 dollars at radio shack. adjectives it does is use the DVI as a non digital link(yes it is backwards compatible) so that VGA signals can be transmitted over it.
You should be able to. I'm getting a dual-DVI card myself (it should arrive surrounded by a few days.), but my two monitors have DVI ports. If you'd similar to, send me post at incorrigible_misanthrope@yahoo... (it's ".com" Yahoo has approved that people don't obligation to know my entire e-mail address.), and I'll send you correspondence when I get my card and I'll do a VGA adapter oral exam.
Generally yes. I support a number of newer Dells beside dual head DVI video out, and hold used VGA single adapters on many. It may depend on the graphics card, but I own never had a problem..
Put fairly simply, yes you can.

If you're converting DVI to VGA then basically use the adaptor, it will work regardless of graphics card.

Can I use an outmoded SVGA PC monitor to survey a DVD beside basically a stand-alone DVD player and no PC?

Answer:

The DVD player's video output would as a rule be an RCA port. If your monitor also has an RCA port, later all you requirement is an RCA cable. You will need speakers too, unless your DVD players have builtin ones.
nope.

you can try a converter, though.

http://www.compusa.com/products/product_...
Normally not. The monitor has a 15-pin D-Sub connector while the DVD player have an RCA video out. You might be able to find a convertor box that would allow you to connect the two, but that would probably cost you nearly as much as a spanking new TV set given how cheap TVs are these days.

Can I use an LCD box effectively as a computer monitor?

I am looking for a generous second monitor for the office, and be wondering if the smaller LCD HDTV televisions out here could do a comparable job to a 22 or 24 inch digital flat panel display?

Answer:

Yes you can! here is a wire which connects the TV to the CPU.

Good for you, cuz you enjoy an LCD.
Yes, lcd tv's work fine as monitors. They are what is recommended over plasmas. The reason is because they hold no burn-in and plasma does. Make sure you determine whether it has vga or dvi input & that your computer video card have the corresponding output, so they will be compatible...but even if they don't, there are adapters available which are inexpensive.
Yes.

Make sure the HDTV have a DVI input.

Make sure its 1366 x 768 . Some sets are 640 x 480.

Can i use an analog TV monitor as my PC display monitor?

I'm pretty sure that I can, but I have need of to find out how, and what hardware I need.

Answer:

Some video cards will allow you to do that, but it really does not look apt, and you are very constrained on resolution.
i9f u have a tv beside the rf cable ports in the frt later u cann if u get the adaptor but the picture will not be obedient as a monitor can be adjusted for the pixel smooth as if u choose the 800x600 32 mode may or may not wrk for tv does not have any pixel save for its default plane that it came beside... get a bigger monitor....
Most plausible, your video card has an S-Video or RCA video cable. Simply purchase the distinctive cable and plug it into your TV's inputs. Most likely though, you are not going to be pleased unless you own an LCD or Plasma based display. Computer monitors and standard television have different stimulate rates. You may end up next to a flickering or blurry picture...which as stated, will require an extremely low resolution. Don't feel the fool though, I own a 48" HDTV projection based tube and I am not able to run my desktop on my televison in need great visual discomfort. If looked-for, spend the cash for a dignified quality Dell or Gateway televison/monitor.

Can I use a VGA cable splitter to run 2 monitors on 1 workstation?

I want to be capable of use 2 external monitors with my laptop using a splitter cable connected to the VGA output from the wager on of my laptop. Will this work? I assume I will just be capable of use some kind of virtual desktop that will produce it seem similar to both monitors are just one big monitor?

Answer:

If you want both monitors to display like peas in a pod image, afterwards you could probably split the cable but you would have to disconnect the 2nd monitors output fund to the pc. If you want to hold a virtual desktop then a dual lead graphics card is your best bet, but I imagine getting a laptop that offer this would be a bear.
There are some boxes call Video Signal Splitter . I have one on the place where on earth I work : have one VGA input and 8 vga output .

But.......an adjectives monitor is same picture/movie etc (they are cloned ) . What do u say just about....""it seem similar to both monitors are just one big monitor?""......can do it near an APG/PCI x video card with dual monitor preference (but is limited individual for 2 monitors).

If you wanna know more.....

Feel free to contact me on yahoo messenger for more details.

can i use a tv for a computer monitor?

Answer:

Depends on the TV. Some hold S-Video connections so that you can.
The resolution on a tv is crap compared to a computer monitor though. Dont use it for text or anything else next to small details.
Only if ...1. You have a supporting video card and 2. You hold the right cables.
Yes but the resolution and color spectrum is lackluster.
Yep, but if it isnt within HD, you will be using such a low resolution that most text will be unreadable. It can be cool for some games though
dumbest item ive ever heard!
Wow, contained by China they are turning old Monitors into HD TVs!

The resolution of a TV is total crap, for computer purposes, and you won't resembling it!

Even the pr0n is blurry!
If your computer has a S-Video or TV -Out port and your tv have the same port, usually an S-video after yes. You will just own to configure the settings in your Display Properties on your laptop.
Yes, but you need going on for $50 worth of cables. If your computer and TV own S-video in/out, get an S-video cable.

If not, you involve an S-video out to RCA cable.
depends on your TV and your Videocard

Your video card has to enjoy a S-Vid out plug

or something that looks like it

and so does ur TV

If you own a prebuilt computer that isn't close to top of the line

(I'm chitchat like serious gamer videocards or serious video editor video cards)then you probably can't do it
yea it is possible to bring a TV as a computer monitor. make sure you own or buy a video card with a S-Video out on it. afterwards buy a S-Video to RCA Male Video connector. then acquire a tv with Video inputs on it. And your set to budge!

Can I use a serial port for a monitor?

Answer:

No, a monitor will not work surrounded by a serial port. You must use a 15 pin D-sub or a DVI connection from a video card or an integrated port on the motherboard. Video and serial port signals make available different types of data. This is why a serial port for video will not work.
No more than you can use a PS/2 port for a kettle.

Rawlyn.
you can do this if you know roughly pc programing and workstation electronic but the quality is awfully poor and size of screen is enormously small and so you can do this.

good luck

Can I use a Plasma TV contained by place of a computer monitor? Will it work?

Answer:

If you enjoy a video card with video out you can but its gonna be pee poor level!
i tried. can't work. if u success, consent to me know. thank.
You must first have a graphics card that supports video/tv out. A flawless example of it is this http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/in...
This is easy. first if your video card have a DVI out put it will be even easier.ok first if your tv has a HDMI input u will necessitate a DVI to HDMI adapter and connect the cable. well if your video card is vga just you need a DVI to HDMI next a vga to dvi the connect cable and u should be good to progress.

can i use a plasma TV as a computer monitor?

if so what cable and accessories would i requirement? thanks.

Answer:

No it wouldn't be advisable as plasma peak can 'ghost' where a contant cut of the display like the start button can burn into the eyeshade so when you watch telly a spectre picture of the start button would appear like the antiquated pc monitors thats why they invented peak savers to let go the screen
Not sure it's a worthy idea. Static imagery are not a good believe on plasma screens as the emblem will burn in and be off a ghost figure. I think that's right... See what others conjecture!
Yes you can use a plasma screen TV as a monitor for your computer, but I would not recommend this. Plasma peak TVs have a set lifetime. Your best choice for a computer monitor would be an LCD screen TV. In the rear legs of your plasma screen TV. If you see a pin plug, it will look a short time ago like the one that comes out of the put money on of your computer that runs your monitor. You should be able to find that cable at RadioShack it's a standard cable. Good luck!
you betcha

Can I use a IBM type monitor next to my 1994 Macintosh quadra 610?

If yes where on earth do I get an adapter to convert the plugs from 2 string to 3 line? I hold been looking for a replacement for my monitor which is getting to fuzzy to read. Location of a modern Apple monitor would also be helpful.

Answer:

The pin outs on the monitor put in the picture alot about the element of the monitor. If it only have two rows of pins then it is a CGA low element monitor. If it has three rows of pins later it is atleast an VGA monitor, better quality. Almost any monitor will work on the MAC as long as they share indistinguishable number of pins. So here is where it get tricky. I am going to guess that the computer has a 3 pin adapter, and the monitor have only 2, so the answer here is to a moment ago find a newer monitor. Howeve if just the contrary is true, then you obligation to find an older CGA monitor. In veracity if the system only have 2 pins for video it should probably be replaced as it is getting along in the years. As for finding a CGA to VGA adapter, if you could it would be resembling a miracle. This is very hoary technology. Most of the older CGA monitors be used for word processors and show little if any color graphics. eBay is a good place to look for used monitors, but be sure to ask if it works. I own purchased many that be junk from near, and the shipping is rather high-ranking. If you need a 3 pin monitor, your best bet is to dance to someplace like staples, best buy, etc. They are to some extent inexpensive now that everyone is switching over to the LCD and flat blind ones. Hope this helps favorite folk music

Can I use a DVI cable beside my clean Dell 2007WFP 20.1" flat panel monitor & my Dell PC DIM 3000, P4?

My Dell PC is in the order of a year and a half hoary. My new monitor have both VGA and DVI cables. I am in a minute using it with a VGA cable because my PC doesn't own a DVI connector. Can I use a DVI cable if I get a DVI-VGA adapter? The DVI cable that come with the monitor is DVI-D Single Link. Is a special card required?

Answer:

ok. so your monitor have a DVI input but your graphics card doesn't. if you get an adapter for the card, you wont take the DVI quality. if you buy a trial card with a DVI output, consequently it will work no problem. just front the $100-400 for a trial card and youll be set. my advice: if you do alot of gaming, obtain the best card you can afford. nVidia cards are superior to anyhting else on the market. try www.tigerdirect.com. they hold pretty low prices on everything electronic.
Unless you add a video card near a dvi port, you are wasting your time. Your computer will only put out a d-sub (standard vga) signal. Actually, you would probably be hinder the signal by making it jump through the extra conversion process.
You should enjoy no problems using an adaptor and a special card shouldn't be required. Are you using onboard video or a dedicated graphics solution? If you are using onboard if you hold an AGP slot you could get a card from $50-$100 that would dispense you a significant boost in behaviour if your a gamer as well as enhance your picture. The colors will be more vibrant and you take a better picture with DVI. If your not a gamer your system will be a bit faster as it will stop allocating your system RAM for your video becuase it will enjoy dedicated RAM.

Hope that answers your press.

Can i use a dell monitor next to a Compaq tower?

Answer:

yes. you can use of late about any open-handed of monitor with anything kind of computer you want. basically plug it in.
yes you can

as long as you enjoy to right connections
Absolutely. Monitors are not computer specific. As long as it uses a VGA connection, you should be fine. You can also check if it and your PC own DVI connections, which gives a better picture. However, a DVI cable is around $60, so you're probably fine beside VGA. :)
Yes, you should be able to run the Dell Monitor lacking an issue. Just plug the baby contained by, and away you go.
As long as the monitor uses like connector and signal type as the computer and as long as you don't ask the monitor to run higher resolution or frequency that it can, any monitor will work on any computer.

Analog monitor will work on an analog card, digital monitor will work on digital card (they enjoy different connectors, so they won't cross-connect). Some monitors have both types of connector.

Also, if your monitor maxes out at 1280x1024 pixels (image size), don't try to drive it to 1600x1400... and it it maxes out at 75Hz (refresh rate) don;t try to drive it at 85Hz. It won;t work... and may injury the monitor.
As long as the connector match you can use any monitor. Now a days monitors are plug and play which funds they don't need any drivers and can be used beside any system.
Yes a monitor is a monitor. As long as it is somewhat new, near in former times 5 yrs or so.

can i use a dell 19 inch lcd flat blind monitor next to me emachine computer appreciation?

Answer:

Yes, in recent times make sure you hold the correct cords to connect the two.
Yea, all monitors come beside a standard analog VGA cable that plugs into the back of ur video card. If u own a digital video output it should be a white socket. In that case, u will own to make sure ur Dell supports it, so you can find the most out of ur monitor.
yes why not. u can use any size of monitor for u r PC.

so having a 19" is not a big treaty at all.but receive sure that u read the manual until that time setting it up.
If that's the new peak they're giving away free with latest Optiplex's, then no you can't. Not in need and adapter. They should provide one but if you're not buying it from Dll you might have to shop around for the adapter. I'm not sure of the mark for it but if you ask any sales being at any electronics dept chain (Circuit City, Best Buy), they'll know.
yes, if your e-machine doesn't locate the drivers on it's own, you will any be provided with a disk or can download the drivers from the manufacturer web site
As a minimum, you will stipulation to verify that the monitor has the correct connectors. Some monitors do not support VGA.

If you know the model number of the Dell monitor, you should be capable of check the specs on Dell's website.
Yes, but dell sucks. I suggest you get a Viewsonic LCD on newegg.com Those are really right, and for the price you get better picture point.

Can i use 1024x768 resolution on a 20" LCD monitor lacking losing representation and fonts part? and please...?

Please share me about Viewsonic 20" LCD monitor. is it right? worth money or not?

Answer:

Resolution and aspect ratio are two different things.

The resolution is how many pixels, vertically and horizontally, per inch. Aspect ratio is the ratio of echelon to width. Aspect ratio is a function of the dimensions of the peak.

Normally, a certain resolution "goes with" a guaranteed aspect ratio. So the resolution 1024x768, when reduced to the lowest common digit is 4:3. If you use a different "resolution" and your monitor's aspect ratio does not match the resolution intended for it, the display will be distorted.

So you will enjoy to find out what the "native resolution" for the monitor you want to buy is, so as to figure at what resolution to set your display so as not to enjoy distortion. E.g., my monitor uses 1280x1024, which comes down to 5:4 resolution, and setting it to some resolution that does not come down to 5:4 distorts the image.
It would be distorted, aspect ratio is different. The aboriginal resolution is much higher and clearer.

You would lose level and sharpness.
no
Probably you can and just attain the highest one itz better power
LCDs are a bunch of tiny spots that get lit up to display the picture - presume of it like a lite-brite - it looks sharp when you use it at the resolution it be designed for - but when you get larger, things gain blocky and fuzzy - same concept for an LCD. The sharpest you can get is to use the rate (recommended) resolution of the LCD.

Can I turn my plasma eyeshade into a touch eyeshade? Is here any suitable software out within?

Answer:

No, it's not going on for software.

There's 3 types............

Resistive: it's a normal cup panel covered with a conductive and a resistive metallic band. These two layers are held apart by spacers. An electrical current runs through the two layer, so when a user touches the screen the two layer make contact, the system see the change contained by electrical field and know where you touched.

Capacitive: a shroud that stores electrical charge is placed on the glass panel of the monitor. When you touch the monitor some of the charge is transferred to you - and so the charge on the capacitive layer decrease. This decrease is measured surrounded by circuits located at each corner of the monitor - the computer calculate the differences in charge at respectively corner - from that it can tell where on earth you touched.

Surface Acoustic Wave: two transducers are placed along the x and y axes of the monitro. The receiving transducer is competent to tell if the swell has be disturbed by a touch at any instant - it locates it and therefore know where you touched.

Hope this help.
Don't work that way dude. Needs special sensors.

no
no i would of thought it be obvious you couldnt in need the correct hardware

Can I swap a PC and a Mac monitor?

Hi. The monitor we currently own hooked up to our Mac G5 is way too small. We hold a nice 20" flat panel hooked up to a PC that is seldom used. Can we swap the two monitors and still expect them to function properly, or do we need to purchase a unknown monitor exclusively for the Mac G5? Thanks in finance.

Answer:

The mac should run on any normal monitor. Both my room-mate and I own standard PC monitors hooked up to our Macs, and many Mac users certainly go fore Dell monitors because nearby are some good deal there.

You lately need the proper nouns cables and ports (or suitable adaptors) which the G5 probably have if you're using a monitor.

Best of all there's no installation, the computer should directly recognize the monitor and start it working.
You can and the generic monitor will run fine on the MAC.
You should be ok. A monitor is merely an output device. Think of it. You can hook any printer to any type of computer and it still work. A printer is an output device just similar to the monitor. Go ahead and switch it out.
You can plug in any monitor to the Mac and it will authorize it. Darkchild is wrong, however, as the same is not true for printers unless it is a Mac/PC printer and after you still need the proper drivers from the OEM. Monitors do not require drivers though it is nice to hold them as they have extra features the built contained by drivers don't.

can i show whats on my sreen to another eyeshade?

Can I run dual monitors on my PC beside one video card that have VGA and DVI output?

I a moment ago bought a new monitor and I am trying to extend my desktop across them both. I currently enjoy an ATI 9700 AGP gfx card and tried installing a second card (an old Voodoo3 PCI) and running respectively monitor on its own card. I am having trouble near that, so now I am basically considering buying a new card (Leadtek WinFast A7600GT probably) contained by hopes that it will solve my problems.

I just want to engender sure I can run the dual monitors off that modern card if I do purchase it.

Or if anybody has any recommendation on making the cards that I have immediately work? Computer recognizes them both, sets the AGP ATI card as primary and works on one monitor. But whenever I run to settings in my display controls and try to see the 2nd monitor on the voodoo3, my computer freezes and crashes.

Answer:

The 7600GT will have dual monitor support.

My guess is that the outdated drivers for the Vodoo 3 are causing the crash.

I didn't know anyone still have one of the Vodoo 3's. :)
YES and it is wonderful!!!, the only problem is that you enjoy to buy an adapter (DVI to VGA) for a monitor if it only have VGA.

can I run a PCI video card next to a AGP video card. Want to run 3 monitors. AGP is dual pave the way G550. Thanks?

Answer:

If be talking give or take a few a regular PCI slot video card then the answer would be yes. The problem would be if you plan on doing some HARDCORE gaming you're going to run into some problems because the response will slower than that of the AGP card.

If you're overall plan is purely to multi task consequently you'll be fine.

Save yourself some headaches by making sure both videocards are made by like peas in a pod manufacturer.
If you mingy can you run PCI-Express card in an AGP slot, next the answer is no.
There is no way to mix 2 different types of video cards at duplicate time. Unless you are doing an SLI/Cross-fire setup with the correct bridging beside 2 identical video cards.

can i run 50ft of vga cable for a 2nd monitor?

computer contained by one room and 2nd monitor in kitchen for viewing cameras around house. will i lose the singal from the video card to the monitor. i am going to use to video cards.

You can. You will not loose the signal. You can also set up your comp to broadcast the video signal on the trellis and you can watch it from anywhere.
Nope, you won't lose signal as long as it is connected!

~Brendon
There shouldn't be any problem near it, the only discouraging thing that near may be a slight delay contained by the signal, but it may only be out by a couple of milliseconds. If your video card have more than one place to plug in a monitor (s-video, VGA, DVI etc) consequently I suggest you use DVI but VGA works just as resourcefully.

can i run 3 displays from my radeon 9800 pro?

I enjoy this video card running to monitors through the vga and dvi ports and would like to give a tv from its svid port. I am able to swap it out for one of the monitors but not run adjectives 3. I don't mind if the tv is just a clone of one of the other 2. in reality that would be preferrable, but i've not been competent to make it work. is anyone else doing this perchance? is it possible at adjectives?

Answer:

nope, can't

the s-video port is a TV port, not a PC port;

only Video programs will dispatch data to that port, so that it displays on a TV, as resourcefully;

this port does not offer the resolution and strengthen rates of a VGA or DVI port; nor does it support display of windows or mouse cursors aso.

what you possibly are thinking of is some newer television which also have a DVI port, which can be connected to a DVI port of your 9800 card. but after, you simply have a general screen and that may still be connected to a cable and show TV (or video from a cassette or dvdplayer).
Right click on your desktop, Go to Properties , Go to Settings , you will see Monitor boxes Labled 1,2,3 or such and you will right click and press Attach if the monitor is not attached the screen will stay black and not display also you must adaptation your TV to the correct VIDEO example: video 1, video 2 , video 3 if it's not on the correct option it will stay black on it from near you will be able to control resolution and other features.
Check the settings man, it does work within most cases. My Nvidia 6600 works well near all 3. I'v see radeons doing the same pretty all right.

your quiz is not clear. What do you mean by doubling peak size?

Do you mean you want to enjoy several smaller monitor to display one big screen?

For that, you'd singular need a supporting video cards. And several monitors
You necessitate a dual-display video card with 2 input slots.
no you cant !
You can own two VDU as long as you have any dual display video card or 2x Video cards, have one powerful one which you can use for thickset duty use, and other an average VGA card for secondary display
I surmise you need two video cards to do that.

I don't supervision to do thows kinds of things I kinda reason its over kill my brother have 3 monitors in his room.

He is A+ certifyed but he is sleeping.

I pretty sure the answer is you want two outputs.

Thats the way he builds his laptop.. with two video cards.

I know swaping settings for the screen is a piece of cake you just right click anywhere on the desktop afterwards click settings then choose.

Some video games don't wana work right next to two monitors so I disable the other monitor and then we play stonghold crusader.

If their is a bearing to do it with one video card I havent see it.

The only time ive see two displays with one video device be on a TI/99-4A No one uses that kind of computer anymore exept retro gamers and what not.

There might be some method to do it with one card but its a consume of time and impracticle get two Nvideas and your angelic to go its a no brainer.

I'm going to answer no, contained by that most laptop connectors are proprietary, meaning manufactured to a design specific to merely one brand. It is unlikely and highly doubtful that you would find a standard D15 connector, which could be used in conjunction near a signal conversion box, to display PAL or NTSC format video from your playstation. And that has even begin to address the power issue.

You should. Check for a VGA (Blue female) port for monitor, TV out (Yellow/black--uses those yellow, red and white triple cable combos) port for tv or a S-video, also for TV. Otherwise, you could be out of luck. Another risk would be to have you Hard Drive taken out and put into your unusual pc.
Yes you can. Just plug a monitor on the wager on of your computer where the blue port is and turn it on. Most monitors are conventional by the OS, so I think you won't own any trouble with that.
Yes, you can. Look for the VGA out port on your laptop and use the Fn switch to output the display (normally is "Fn" + F5 or F10).

AND, it have a TV tuner and speakers built in!
yes you can, as long as you hold a video connector on your pc that will connect to your tv
almost adjectives TV's have RCA jacks for video and audio surrounded by. look at the back of your computer and see if your video card(the one the monitor plugs into) have a yellow round RCA jack, that should be TV-out and it should articulate AV-out next to it, even though it is really only video, no audio. all you do is run an RCA line from that to your TV video in and adjust your display settings surrounded by your control panel.

That's the most basic route

You can use a TV Tuner card within your Computer to watch TV on your monitor while connected. Other than that, your Monitor doesn't own a built in tuner, so you wouldn't know how to tune to any channels.

I want to use an LCD TV as a display for my computer, the issue is I hold to rotate the LCD 90 degrees physically (so the telly will be vertical not horizontal). But I want to display the picture horizontally. I'll not display a Windows desktop on my LCD, fairly I'll show a video which is of 9x16 aspect ratio and is a perfect fit when the LCD is rotated by 90 degree. Can I connect my TV to CPU through RS 232c cable as a monitor?

Answer:

if your tv have a vga or dvi port then yes. A lot of newer tv's are coming near them.

Otherwise, you'll have to use a standard video out (RCA) cable. This precincts the resolution to 640x480. It looks like crap on the tv.
RS232C is a serial port, so the answer as asked is no. There is a video cable (S-?) that will permit you go out of the computer within the TV aux input.

Can I connect my PC to TV ? It own a VGA output. Is VGA to Audio-Video Cable is avilable ?

Answer:

You would call for some audio video output hardware. Either a new video card or a usb device. I wouldnt bring back too excited on the idea. A tv set is lower resolution than your PC monitor and the picture usually isnt worth a crap!
You would involve a VGA Inverter for that. It's a device that would require DC Power and costs $50-75 dollars.

No, there is no cable that converts VGA to a TV Signal: VGA's 15 pin nouns would compose of two leads for respectively of Red, Green and Blue, plus two pins each for Horizontal Sync, Vert Sync, and Timing, and the remaining as ground and Plug and Play Traffic. An RCA Cable comprises of a video sync and ground. Obviously, conversion from Analog Signal to a Composite would be crucial, hence the signal inverter box.

Check out Tigerdirect or other professional electronics companies for one.
Absolutely. In most cases you need an extra card to convert analog signals to digital. This card and cable should be available at a computer store near you.
Yes. Most bright LCD TVs have VGA and dvi inputs. If you own an older tv, you involve a scan converter. They take VGA and down convert it to S-vide and composite video. But you will loose seriously of resolution. Don't expect to be able to physical small print from XL thru one of these.

VGA doesn't have anything to do next to sound. You inevitability a seperate cable to go from your soundcard headphone out or seaker out to your TV audio inputs.
Ya you can connect your PC to TV by using VGA cable.

One piece you can remember is you can set frequency for connect PC and TV.VGA cable price is less than INR 200.

can i connect my workstation to my tv??

i don't hold a projector, but need to show slides, can ia connect my laptop to my flat tv?? what kind of cable do i stipulation?? can i see it, using my video adapter, or i need one next to S-video?

Answer:

http://www.weethet.nl/english/video_conn...

This link must assistance you..

\S
you need a hdmi socket
If your computer have a TV-Out then adjectives you need to buy is a TV-Out cable (its a cable near Pins in one side and A/V Cables on the other. Then you should enjoy no problems.
S-Video would be best. Since it is a flat screen some come beside a slot for USB memory. Since you are just showing pictures another prospect may be to burn them onto a DVD or CD if you own a DVD player that can read that type of data.
I freshly did this and it depends on what equipment you have on your computer. What I found is that you can do S Vidio or RCA jacks. But the course you would do it depends on the vidio card in your computer. If the Vidio card have a TV out along with the standard monitor jack next you can use that and it is probably S Vidio but it could be RCA jacks as well. If you do not hold a TV Out on your Vidio card, you can replace the card with one that does (price will depend on the type of card you choose) or you can buy a converter (about $100.00 at Radio Shack). The converter will help yourself to the standard Monitor vidio signal and convert to something that will work with your TV set. But unless it is a High Def TV the resolution will not be anywhere implicit what you get on your monitor. I one-sidedly just replaced my vidio card near one that had a TV out.

Best of Luck
if you budge to a place like radio shack and catch a cable that goes from your computer (standard is VGA) to your TV (standard is A/V or S-Video)

can i connect my PC monitor to my xbox?

is it possible for me to connect my lcd workstation monitor to my xbox the red yellow and white cable, my pc monitor have a standard connection that go into my computer, was wondering if i could attain a converter?

Answer:

Alternately, you can get a TV Tuner card for around $30 to $45 bucks that will agree to you run anything that uses coaxial cable and sometimes component cables (cable tv, dvd players, vcr's, gaming platforms) surrounded by a window or fullscreen on your computer. And most of these cards come next to software to record video from the nurture. And if the card doesn't take component, you can procure a cheap adapter at Wal-mart to convert it to coaxial.
There are several adapters on the market. Go to a gigantic electronics store close to Fry's or search the net for one.
You'll need a VGA to video converter. This website here may enjoy it at a good price: http://www.monoprice.com/products/produc...
you can achieve a component to vga adapter, but be aware that you'll get horrible element.

can i connect my medium notebook to my crt projection tv?

the tv is a panasonic 53" projection tv. it have a DVI connection available on the tv.

Answer:

You could connect your computer to the TV if you have a DVI output on your computer. If you don't have a DVI output, you can take a VGA to DVI converter and use that to connect the signal to your TV. You'd have to bring a cable also, most likely a DVI cable (they aren't cheap either).
the best track is to buy a TV tuner card which will work out cheaper and can connect to all TV. U can also plug contained by Cable to your comp if u need
You don't obligation a cable if you use wireless pc to tv converter. Your TV should hold RCA ports in addtion to DVI. Then FlyImage5000 is competent to wirelessly transfer your PC video/audio signals to your Panasonic TV. You may return with more info from:

Can i connect my laptop to tv next to one set of chain?

Rather than using VGA to DVI cable and RCA cable.

Which cables would be best to use to acquire the best visual and nouns quality?

Answer:

Probably S-Video. I judge you can get a PCMCIA card that supports it.
s-video obviously
NOYOUCANNOT
yeah you can...
s-video or hdmi, if your laptop supports DVI output.
I tried that with laptop to tv cable, it sends the usual image, but would not distribute RealPlayer or Windows media player.
You can't hook up your laptop directly to a typical tv set without a modulator. You can bring back one of these at Radio Shack but I don't think you will be smug with the results unless it's HD.
You stipulation an interface device to convert the VGA signal of your computer output to either AV or RF or S-video, as most television do not support VGA. In case your box does support VGA (check the manual) then it should hold an input port (serial - similar to the one on your monitor). In that case you can plug within directly. Else you need a convertor / box, and the essential cabling.
depending on what concerned of cable you get

Can I connect componet cable to my monitor?

Answer:

If your monitor supports it natively after you can easily do this. If it doesn't (and most do not) you will involve an adapter such as http://www.ramelectronics.net/html/kd-va... which is quite expensive. There may be cheaper alternative though. I would do a froogle (www.froogle.com) turn upside down for VGA component adapter or something similar.

Can I connect an PC (via DVI) and an XBOX 360 (via VGA) to a TFT monitor near these two inputs?

i hold a geforce 6600 gt and i want to buy a smasung le-27t51 lcd tv.

Answer:

your graphic card must own some sort of an output.

s-video output preferred because all the foreign tv's come with standard s-video input jacks

once you enjoy both the output and the input, then its with the sole purpose a matter of buying the chord.
I enjoy a 6600GT. Mine came next to a mod plug that allows the video card to out put to Svideo or composite video.

You will get the best picture next to composite video. It's 3 seperate RCA cables that split the picture out. Make sure doesn`t matter what TV you get can run composite video input.

And make sure you own that plug for your video card. Mine was within the box when I bought it.
it must have the right port
you can connect some lcd tvs to your workstation

Can I connect a majority resolution laptop to a widescreen monitor?

The laptop is currently using 1024 x 768. It have S Video and VGA ports.

If it was to be connected to an external widescreen display (16:10), would the laptop know how to support it as in display the widescreen resolution on the display correctly and not the mundane resolution (4:3) the laptop currently displays on its own screen?

It'll be set up near the mirror feature so that doesn`t matter what is on the laptop, will display on the widescreen display so each time the widescreen display is used, the laptop will be closed.

I don't know roughly drivers etc, but it's an Acer 1355XC and the display adapters it tells me are VIA/S3G KN400/KM400.

Any support on the matter is much appreciated.

Thanks.

Answer:

easily

The original eyeshade doesn't matter, because if you turn it stale and connect an external one the laptop essentially "forgets" that the primary screen be ever connected.

As long as your laptop's graphics card supports the resolution you'll be fine.
Plug it in.

Go to Display settings.

You can set it up however you want!

ps: If you close your laptop, be sure to disable your automatic sleep settings!

§§
Yes it will support it. If you plug it into your laptop you'll inevitability to modify its graphics settings because it will not fit on the screen. If you also hold a DVI port, that will help even more. DVI take the screen's information and the graphic card will configure it for you and sort the screen fit.
You are singular limited to what the clear card in your notebook can manipulate. And the type of connection it have (output)

CAN i connect a laptop peak on a desktop ?

i own an old laptop eyeshade, "toshiba 420CDS"... anyway,

i want to connect this screen to a desktop "PC". CAN I DO THAT ?? if i can, HOW??

Can I connect a freeview box to a monitor? (NoPC)?

The monitor have a SCART socket.

Answer:

If the monitor has a SCART socket, almost to be sure :-) there are a couple of different flavours of SCART, though, so if you haven't however bought the monitor it'd be worth checking with the manufacturer/retailer since you do.

If, by the way, you want to connect a freeview box to a monitor WITHOUT scart (ie an routine VGA monitor), you would need a video scaler box - try http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?modu...
No injure in trying!? possibly you have a monitor/television, ive see them before 'multipurpose i believe'!

Best item to do is try it.
I am not sure, but I think you inevitability a TV card in your computer since you can try. The TV cards are cheaper enough to buy. Then try it. If it works, consequently I might do mine through my computer.
Have a look here for info.: http://www.radioandtelly.co.uk/freeviewh... After all, the above ground lead carry the signal to the freeview box, that then sends the signal to the TV (or your monitor?) via a SCART head. Though my freeview box is connected to a normal TV, I sometimes survey TV on my PC's monitor by using an internal TV capture card. So while I assume it can be done, I'm not reasonably certain. Try it and see, buy a TV if it don't work.
you sure can,but you wont be viewing much

Yes, you should'nt have a problem
yes u shuld b competent to
why yes indeed
it should be compatible yes. they have impossible to tell apart kind of plug contained by at the end unless you enjoy an old '98 or smaller amount. needs to be a 2000+

Can i verbs my LCD monitor beside raining cloth? it get too spotty every one or two weeks.?

Answer:

Damp not damp.
Just use an old napkin
Use a soft cloth and water. I use the eye chalice cleaner I got next to my eyeglasses.
The LCD screen is extraordinarily porous and you can cause abundantly of damage. Philips do a special LCD cleaner. I've used it and because it is also anti static, stays cleaner longer.(I bought it from Staples within the UK)
Yes you can clean your lcd monitor witha showery cloth but better way to do this is by using a dry cloth approaching silicon paper.
windex also works. really well.
Do not use Windex...or anything of that temper...that is a no-no...you can use a soft napkin..like a microfiber one or a intensely soft hand towel.moisturize it with thaw water and ring it out really angelic...then wipe softly not to put toooo much pressure on the blind...than you can wipe it off next to a clean dry soft towel or napkin!
I use http://www.pixelclean.com - works great and is safe for adjectives LCD screens.

Can i buy some cable to connect my laptop to my LCD TV? If So What cable do i requirement?

Answer:

I wouldnt reccomend it. A TV or tvLCD are different than PC LCD's and monitors. You can gain converers vga2rca but you wont be able to see words clearly and the resolution would be horrible.
Depends on inputs of your LCD. You can seize a VGA to component adapter, VGA to SVideo, or you may even have a DVI nouns onyour computer and TV. You need to look at the Computer Video Card to see what type of outputs it have, as well as the TV to see what inputs it can adopt. Then you need to look at your TV's spec's to see what the max resolution for it is. One big problem, heaps LCD TV's have a slow re-acquaint yourself with rare (Greater after 16ms) and that will cause ghosting using it as a monitor for games or even prompt scrolling of webpages or documents.
Most laptops are able to output S-Video or DB15, If your LCD TV have HDMI or DVI input, then you should buy and DB15-DVI cable. I believe they run for roughly 20-50 dollars(California) Once you have the cable at hand is some configurations for the viewing. On Dells it's "Fn" and the F8 button pressed at the same time.

As far as I know most monitors are pretty universal. You might call for some kind of different cable but anything you buy should be compatible beside your computer. Just to be on the safe side though steal the name of your model to the store and ask.
yes.as long as it have 3 rows of pins on the end that plugs into your computer your fine.i grasp 17 inch monitors at thrift stores usually $5.00-$10.00.better then spending hundreds for unusual.and they last forever.or you could buy unsullied.if you got that humane of money.
For the most part, you can hook any monitor onto any computer. You may have need of to reset a few things in your computer settings, but pretty much they are inter-compatible.
You can...But if you buy some of the elder versions, the resolution may not be supported. Also, the monitor may require a special driver (should be capable of download from the internet somewhere). You can buy any monitor that you like.

deeply, the tv only have RCA ports and i would rather not buy an s-video to RCA adapter if i don't own to. so before i travel moving a whole bunch of stuff around, would the s-video port on my dvd player (trutech TT320) adopt the signal from the graphics card on my computer?

Answer:

It will adapt but depending on what type of tv you own you can burn the screen.
um you could do it but a word of caginess, it will look horrible. remember that a standard television have a maximum resolution of 640X480(480I) and you average computer moniter has a resolution of 1024X768(XGA) so i would individual use this if i absolutely have no other choice. oh and to definitively answer your question yes your S video jack will adopt the video however i am not 100% sure that the DVD player will sent the signal to the TV via a composite signal

Can how I revision the monitor setting on Windows 98SE when I can't see the blind?

I have Windows 98SE installed on an old Gateway system. I be using a 12 inch old SVGA monitor on it after I installed Windows 98SE and it worked fine. I connected a Viewsonic 21 inch monitor and on boot it detected the exotic hardware and looked fine with that 21 inch monitor. I no longer enjoy that monitor, but when I connected the old 12 inch SVGA monitor the eyeshade display is so messed up I can't even make out what is going on to transformation the settings. I can boot from floppy disk to access drive C, but I don't know what to do to fix this. I really don't want to restore Windows. I'm looking for step by step instructions on how to fix this monitor issue so I can get the 12 inch monitor working again. Thanks!

Answer:

Its glib. No need to restore Windows! When boot press shift+f5 (safe mode). Windows boots next to 640x480 resolution. Then change to preferred resolution.
The monitor or display of a computer is the primary user interface. Monitor problems are some of the most adjectives computer problems since the voltages inside a monitor can be as high as 10 KV. Many of the problems can be fixed yourself by simply varying the settings. Detailed instructions available at http://fixit.in/monitor.html

Can flat eyeshade monitors be repaired for a sound cost?

I hold tossed 2 flat screen monitors that be less than 2 years outmoded. The problem is that they stopped powering up. There is a green light on the adapter that connects to the monitor which stopped lighting up. I be thinking maybe the power cable box go bad and can be replaced near a new cable. If the cable is markedly expensive as some laptop power cables are, it might not be worth replacing as you can purchase a investigational flat screen for something like $100 - $150. Has anyone else ever had this problem?

Answer:

Most of us computer techs toss the monitors for indistinguishable reasons, New ones are so in-expensive, plus, the contrast and resolution own doubled in two years...

The 'bricks' run $60 to $100!!!
perchance you can if you bring it to a computer repair shop or some t.v. repair shops but i think you should in recent times throw it away
If you can replace the TV. for as little as you say, believe me it will be cheaper to do so.
nope replace the power box and cable

However, the way my computer is set up the in one piece screen rotates so it is the equivilant of picking up your monitor and setting it on its side. No, but you can buy the screen from the company. It is usually cheaper in recent times to my a new monitor because 80% of the price of the monitor comes from the price of the peak. You can look on www.ebay.com or similar sites for your particualar screen. I reccomend looking nearby and if no luck then progress out an purchase a new monitor. =)
It sucks if you hold dead pixels. It sucks even more if your limp pixels are on a laptop screen. You're stuck next to them.

The single way to really fix to be exact to exercise your warranty/consumer rights. If it's not acceptable most retailers will transport you a replacement. If they have a dead-pixel policy that say one is ok, there's not much you can do from a technical perspective. The circuits are only too small and delicate to work near.
The only item that can fix your problem is to get another monitor whether it be purchasing a untried one or getting it covered under warranty. This problem can be fixed but it is massively time consuming to fix and you would more than pay for a unusual monitor by the time you got through paying a technician to fix this problem.
At times if u push down on the pixel it wake it up.

A dead pixel is a motionless transistor.

NO once dead its insensible -if you use a different background color afterwards it will become less conspicuous or even disappear until you go rear to the color where it shows up
